Disability Access Statement

Morlyn Guest House is a white rendered, two-storey building situated on the main road that runs through the village of Llandanwg. It has its own resident’s car park to the front of the building. We also have a ground floor room with ramped access and car parking outside its front door.

The approach to the foyer has a concrete ramp, but there is a small step into the building through double doors. Once inside, the ground floor public areas are on the level, including toilets. There are no steps leading out of the exterior door to the back entrance and gate of the guesthouse, thus allowing wheelchair access to the dining room and bar.

Guest bedrooms are on the ground and first floor. To the rear of the building, first floor rooms are reached by way of an external staircase with a handrail both sides. We have a mix of twin and double bedrooms. All guest rooms have clear raised numbers on doors and lever handles. All rooms have a private ensuite toilet and shower facilities (a shower chair is available). All rooms have cordless kettles and remote controls for the TV/DVD player, and readily accessible power points.

In each room we have an audible fire alarm system and red alert fire notices for those hard of hearing or who require assistance in the event of the detection system being activated. Please read the "guest fire notice" in the room and vocalise your needs.

Guests can specify their needs upon enquiry. We will do our best to match the room most suitable for their needs.

Assistance is always offered and available with transporting luggage to and from bedrooms.

We are a NO SMOKING establishment and request that all guests comply with this requirement. Please remain within THE LAW.

If requested, large print menus and hotel information are available.

All dietary needs are discussed with guests during the booking process and every effort is made to cater for special dietary needs. As part of the breakfast menu, you may help yourself from the Welsh dresser. If assistance is required, or if a waitress service is needed, it is available at any time.

We are a pet- friendly guesthouse. All pets are welcome.

The nearest bus stop to Llandanwg village is on the main road in Llanfair, approximately 15 minutes’ walk, slightly up hill. The nearest train station is Llandanwg, a request stop, about 2 minutes’ walk, but we can assist you to and from the station or bus stop by arrangement.

We have the numbers of local taxis within the area, and can pre-book these, if required.
